Review on Thermal Imaging Camera WiFi EnnoLogic by David Carter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good image quality and many useful features

IR images have good resolution. Easily switch between natural light, hybrid and full IR images. Photos are taken by pressing the shutter button and then pressing the 'Save' button. With the camera alignment function, you can correct the visible light image and the IR image to create overlapping images. Multiple color palette options are available, including black and white and white on black. For inspection purposes, it makes sense to first take a visible light image and then an IR image. The camera doesn't have an adjustable focus, but I didn't find that to be a problem for home inspections involving both close-up and long-distance shots. The emissivity of the device can be changed to improve the accuracy of temperature measurements. The user guide has a useful table of materials and different emissivities. Navigation and controls on the instrument are easy. The instructions in the manual are clear. The WIFI IR function works. It requires your computer or mobile phone to select WiFi camera as the source and log off from other WiFi networks. A single image file can also be transmitted via WLAN. Stack images can be transferred using the included micro USB charger. My first device didn't allow micro USB file transfer. The company's customer service was excellent and they sent me a replacement unit which worked as advertised. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and the customer service. This device compares well to Fluke and FLIR cameras I've worked with. The price is quite reasonable for this image quality and functions.

Pros
  • ADJUSTING THE ALIGNMENT OF THE THERMAL AND VISIBLE IMAGE: Thermal imaging cameras have two separate sensors for visible and infrared light and their images overlap. Many thermal imagers do not allow you to correct the discrepancy (parallax) between these two images. This camera does just that so you can pinpoint hot and cold spots.
Cons
  • So-so
