Plumber professionally installed this along with a brand new toilet. It works as advertised but not really that much. If things are dirty they will still be dirty, but now wet and dirty. It can help women "feel" fresher, but it didn't work for me. Don't stop buying toilet paper. The cold water wasn't as much of a problem as I expected. It just wasn't a problem. We used it for a while for the first few months, mostly tried it out, then stopped using it. 10 months later our toilet seat cracked in the back. So today I bought a new $40 toilet seat and removed that bidet fixture. I was surprised and amazed at the amount of dried urine that was left between the bidet mount and the toilet itself. (no photo!) The toilet seat closes tight there, but this bidet doesn't, so it backs up. anything. Toilets are inherently dirty and things are splashing around in places you can't see. You cannot see it or clean it without removing (removing) the device. Today after 11 months I took it off and threw it away and replaced the broken one with a new $40 toilet seat. I do not recommend this product.
