Made cheaply so you can buy another one soon!

I bought this modem 2 years ago because I was tired of replacing Cox modems once a year and paying rent to do it. So I did a little research and found that this modem was one of the best modems around $120. In the first year he did everything that was advertised, which was great for me. Although this year was terrible. My wife has been complaining to me about horrible internet speeds all year while I was not on duty. I went back and checked it out today to find out the modem isn't working and I need to get a new one. I mean, it's no better than renting from Cox if my modem just gives up in a year. Needless to say I will never buy a Netgear product again just because of the lack of durability. This thing sits next to the air conditioner vent and has no reason to go outside. It's disappointing that I have to shell out again because they are delivering a short term product.

Pros
  • Supports cable internet service up to 300 Mbps. Recommended for all speed levels up to 500 Mbit/s. WiFi requires a separate router. Channel Bonding 24x8
Cons
  • boring packaging
