This product really pissed me off. First, it came terribly late (about a week) and I thought it was lost forever. When it finally arrived I was happy and ready to set it up. NOT CORRECT. YOU MUST BUY YOUR OWN USB CABLE! Why don't they put it in the box? THIS IS literally the final ingredient to make this stupid thing work. So I bought a USB cable. Nowhere in the manual does it say what kind of cable this machine needs, so I disabled the port on the back of the machine. BIG MISTAKE. The manual only said "plug in the USB cable", so I assumed it was USB to USB since there was a USB port on the back of the device. I ordered one only to find out that it WILL NOT WORK WITH USB 3.0. More than ever I had to go out and buy a USB 2.0 cable! If they just wrote that information on the box or in the manual, life would be a lot easier. Then when I connected the cable. NOTHING. IT HAPPENED. After extensive research on the internet I have come to the conclusion that I NEED A USB TYPE A/B CABLE. WHY IS THIS NOT IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL? OR ONLINE? I HAD TO CLICK ON THE SPECS OPTION ON THE BROTHER WEBSITE (WHICH IS ALSO GARBAGE FOR NAVIGATION, BTW) AND SCROLL EVERYTHING VERY VERY VERY LOWER TO READ THE TYPE OF CABLE THAT IS NEEDED. I ordered this cable and it should be delivered. within a few days, although Amazon is really behind on these orders. I wouldn't be mad if there wasn't a USB 2.0 port on the back of the machine? Why put it there when not in use? This company is incredibly misleading and I'm so pissed that they just didn't put the cable in the box to avoid this confusion.
