This Zyxel USG Flex 100 (USG40 v2) Firewall, UTM Firewall with 1-year security license is an advanced firewall that protects your network in one convenient package. nice kit, I really liked its aesthetics and the materials chosen here not only give a feeling of solidity but also dissipate heat from internal components through the case itself. I appreciate the simplicity of the design and the choice of quality materials, but one thing I really didn't appreciate was choosing McAfee's secure licensed services given the McAfee software/company has been so unreliable and was undesirable. I definitely don't want anything from McAfee, particularly for the hardware protecting your network, period. Setup can be difficult for those who aren't tech savvy, or at least have minimal knowledge. as for the network. Even if you're a network security professional, you might have trouble getting set up for a variety of reasons, but luckily for me I was able to fix the few issues I had and it took much longer than expected. Obviously, such devices are not used by the general consumer as they are more geared towards enterprise or small business use that have their own IT departments to do the configuration. Another feature that surprised me how useful it turned out to be. There will be detailed analysis and threat reports. The presentation of this information is fantastic, it allows you to get the relevant data on the dashboard at a glance and also allows you to drill down into each of the categories. All in all I think this is a good firewall that has worked extremely well over time and tested it with an absolutely staggering amount of features and depth. I would recommend this to small businesses or even those with a home server or lab who can benefit from the extra layer of protection this provides. 4/5 stars.
