In some pictures they appear to be metal, although the details state "peg hooks are made from recycled, high-impact, durable polypropylene." Good value. Just keep in mind that you might also want to get some metal for the occasional "flex" need. They don't bend. Update: Another observation: they are also a bit thicker than metal hooks so some of the holes that fit metal hooks may not line up with them and/or the spacing may not be ideal. Again, nothing wrong here, just something to be aware of - it's probably good to have a metal set as well as these.
