I saw a few reviews about the crease in the middle of the mat when it arrived. As you can see from the photo, getting rid of the crease is very easy. Simply fold the mat in the opposite direction of the crease and vigorously roll the crease back and forth several times, it will disappear about 98%. The rest of the crease straightened out over the next five days. My cats love this sissal rug almost as much as I do. My main reason for buying this rug was to get rid of the little pieces of cardboard they were tearing all over from the typical scratch mats we all use with cats. They weren't sure about scratching what they thought was a rug until I sprinkled some catnip on it, and then they immediately followed. It actually looks like a nice rug and I don't have to be careful stepping over it in the middle of the night when walking in the dark. I have nothing negative to say about this Sissel rug. It's great in function and looks!
