Review on Westbrass Kitchen Rubbed Bronze D202 12 by Harry Love

It's actually made out of metal and is very good, especially compared to what I've been able to find at local hardware stores. The local hardware stores only had scrap plastic or latches. One of these, made of plastic, I would clean once and it probably wouldn't look the same as before. I could be wrong but I just don't think a plastic cover would fit well. To make matters worse, I looked at three stores to try and find the best finished product. I buy the one that says "stainless steel" on the packaging when it should have said "stainless steel that looks like plastic". Thanks did it. I don't know if I should use the manufacturers name here, but I use it because I think it's false advertising to say "stainless steel" and you take it out of the box and it's PLASTIC. I do not mind. Plastic, it's great for many things, but in this application it can't replace real metal. This west brass cap = 5 stars, plastic cap = 0 stars, at least for me. I saw the Danco version on Revain which I bought at my local hardware store. Revain clearly states it's made of "durable plastic" and has pretty good reviews, so I'll leave that to you. My experience with Danco would have been easier if they had written "durable plastic" on the packaging instead of "stainless steel". You don't have the same ring, for me.
