I bought it for changing tires in three of our family cars. I don't know how accurate it is because I have no way to calibrate or test it. However, I trust it enough to calibrate my torque wrench. After about 10 years my torque wrench was off by about 5 ft-lbs consistent with this so I adjusted it accordingly. Now I use the Neiko Digital Torque Adapter and my adjustable wrench together and they are very close together; within 2-3 ftlbs. I like the Ptop setting as it provides the most torque I've used during an application. This is useful for knowing how much torque is required to loosen the nut. Battery issues: I've used this 3 or 4 times in a month. The first two times this month the original batteries were fine. The third time they died in the middle of work. That seems premature, but I don't know how good the batteries were when they arrived. I just installed two new Revain Prime batteries which I know don't last long so we'll see. Access to the batteries is easy. It's probably worth removing the batteries when not in use. Useful sound indicator. It starts about 10 FtLbs before set point and then emits a continuous tone when set point is reached.
