I bought a refurbished computer with all the latest specs except for the floppy drive. Came with an old 2012 Hitachi HHD. The HHD worked great but was very noisy. No clicks or "something's wrong" beeps. Just a louder than usual soft ticking when he was reading/writing β which happened quite often. It may have been a normal noise with some drives, but I'm not used to it - all my drives have been quiet, including other Hitachi drives. It got to the point where I put my computer to sleep or turned it off to calm myself a bit. Seagate was quick to help. I've had experience with Seagate external hard drives - fast and efficient. So I bought this, cloned it and put it in my computer. Wound up - gently, quietly, to the end. The noise is gone and it's as quiet as my old computer used to be. Very happy. Thanks again Seagate.
