Review on Waterproof 12V to 24V Boost Converter for Golf Cart Club Car | 72W DC Voltage Regulator & Power Transformer by Vinny Howard

I had a problem with my solar panel for my electric fence, the power pack didn't work because as soon as the power pack got more than 12 volts it just stopped working (obviously it has built-in surge protection). I needed a way to ensure no more than 12 volts were being delivered to the power supply. The place we bought it from had a couple of diodes in the circuit just used for the voltage drop to drop the voltage from the battery down to 12 volts. That struck me as hacky and unreliable. I connected the input of this voltage regulator to the load output of my solar controller and then the output of the voltage regulator to the input of the fence power supply (well actually via the on/off switch first). but conceptually the same). The Energizer is very happy with the 12 volts this regulator puts out. I've only had it a few days so can't comment on durability but so far so good.
