Therefore, long-term reliability (which seems to displease people) has yet to be determined. But the exact same Dorman unit would fetch me $330-$350 at any local auto parts store here in Alaska. Got Revain Prime in 2 days for a lot less than half the cost. A dealer block (which admittedly has a bearing mount on the sprocket instead of a bronze bushing and looks a little better) would have cost 3.5 times as much. Installing the block took 1 hour (don't pull the driveshaft, at least on the K2500 truck), although you only have to lower the transmission stay cross member a few inches at one end to set it in place. A 15mm box wrench for a bolt is very useful. Doesn't come with a new seal so you'll need to get one from the retailer or reuse yours. After installing this, I found that while mine eventually failed completely, it probably misapplied the automatic 4WD for much longer. I'm incredibly happy with the outcome for the money and time invested right now and even if it only lasts a few years I'll still be happy.
