Review on ECCPP Supports Liftgate Springs Chrysler by William Hood

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, good fit

As I'm not a mechanic, instructions would be nice --- the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. At least on our Town & Country Van, the order of removing and installing the torx makes little difference. By first unscrewing the top Torx screw (attached to the shiny end of the stem) from the old support post, which allowed the post to pivot downward, we had better access to remove the second screw (attached to the black end of the cylinder). When installing new support legs, the black end of the cylinder was attached first, and then the shiny end of the rod. My torx bit is quite bulky so the order was important. If yours is more complex, the order might not matter. Also, these were the cheapest products I could find and they're working well so far.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good
