good tool. accurate and consistent.

I often use infrared thermometers to calibrate heat presses and in the kitchen. I have several but this is my favorite now. I can use the minimum temperature or differential scan to make sure my t-shirt presses heat up evenly, which is a feature I didn't originally think I would use at all. To test its accuracy, I painted the aluminum heatsink with matte black paint and put it in a pot of ice water for about 3 minutes, checked the temperature and it was constant 32.2 degrees, then I lowered the emissivity to 0.35 and repeat the measurement. checked with the spoon and got 32.4 degrees. it exceeded my expectations. Build quality feels solid, with a pleasing matte finish that somehow makes it more premium. and the backlit display is easy to read. However, it took me a few minutes to figure it out as my package contained only the device and a 9V battery pack, no instructions, case or other accessories, although the listing promises a pouch, screwdriver and instructions. I don't mind and the quality outweighs the omissions and it still retains a 5 star rating **EDIT** Accessories were in the package! I found them under my bench. If possible I would give 6 stars!
