I ordered three of these mounts to fit all the TVs in the house. On Black Friday 2013 I finally got around to buying a TV. Samsung 200X200 VESA 40 inch TV, I had no idea that 200X200 would require special calculations. I considered attaching the wire to the wall instead of the back of the TV to fit the required dimensions for the instructions for mounting the wooden studs to the wall. Space the aluminum spheres about 4 inches apart using the included "masonry" style setup. I found a cross member support bolt between the 23" vertical studs and used that cross bolt as the anchor point. Clamp to "shorten" the length of the wire. The clips are flimsy and I ended up partially pulling off one of the strands. I used the included wrench and my adjustable wrench to hold the case in place and obviously applied too much torque. No need for Superman, that thing I learned. The distance from the TV to the wall is just enough to lay the cables. I have yet to hide the cables in the wall, at this point I will adjust the length of the cable to make it shorter. The TV is now slightly tilted towards the wall. I attribute this to the length of the cable and the misalignment of the TV's top brackets. I am very surprised by the ease of assembly, the TV stays evenly on the wall even with a slight tilt. The Samsung TV weighs less than 20 pounds. Very easy to use. A heavier TV will be more difficult to handle initially, I have a 60" Sharp LCD that will likely remain on its bulky mount (90+ pounds). All the equipment provided has been used and much remains. I used a tape measure, 12" level, an adjustable wrench, a drill, a 3/16 bit, and a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
