Review on ๐ŸŒŠ Ivy Bag - 50 Gallon Collapsible Water Bladder: Portable and Durable Water Tank by Mia Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good reservoir, but not perfect

I use hydration bladders to carry fresh water to my RV on the go. I have a 30 gallon Aquatank2 water storage tank from another manufacturer and wanted another 50-60 gallon tank. I was considering buying the 60 gallon version of the Aquatank2 as the 30 gallon version fits me well and I have no complaints. Since I carry my water bladders in the back of my truck, I decided to buy a 50 gallon bag of Ivy because it has grommets and the Aquatank2 doesn't. Overall I am satisfied with the Ivy Bag. The material is much thicker and stronger than the Aquatank2 (although I'm not worried about the Aquatank2 failing) and the grommets keep the camera in my truck well even on bumpy dirt roads. I gave four stars because the inlet and outlet hoses are relatively flimsy and tend to break or kink easily, making filling and emptying the bladder a bit difficult, especially since I'm using a bladder pump and the suction tends to break down. a tube. Aquatank2 inlet/outlet hoses do not have this problem. I am planning to replace the hoses on my Ivy Bag with the same ones as on the Aquatank2. Another complaint I have is that the Ivy Bag material gives the water a strong smell/taste. I believe the material listed is the same as in Aquatank2, but I have no smell/taste issues with this bubble (although there was a noticeable smell/taste initially that wasn't too bad). I've only used the Ivy pouch 4 times so far (full fill/empty cycles) so the smell/taste issues may diminish over time with additional use, but so far I can't say there's a huge difference from the first use (I rinsed the bladder out before first use as I did with my Aquatank2).

Pros
  • Four (4) and six (6) attachment points to secure reservoir during transport. Only six (6) spacers per 50 gallons.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
