The WAVLINK USB 3.0 to DVI/VGA/Video Graphics Adapter is typically purchased to add a display output to a laptop, I actually bought it to add a 15 pin VGA to my system add output. My graphics card drives 4 HDMI and DP monitors. If I hadn't used the maximum number of ports I might have been able to plug in enough dongles to get a 15 pin connector, but WAVLINK seemed easier. Also, I'm just trying to test the CRT for retro purposes. how did it work Well, pretty good. The adapter is recognized in Windows 10 and quickly installed. The adapter easily reads EDID data from various CRTs. It also delivered clear images up to 1280 x 1024 @ 85Hz. It may be capable of more, but I don't have a better CRT handy. For those who value analog video quality, RAMDAC seems pretty clean too. recommended
