If like me you want to add a few strips of felt down the sides and ignore the fact that there are fewer creases, you'll probably agree this is a good one Price. . I really don't see the need to spend twice as much on what you throw away every year. Some warn that this filter is 1/4-3/8" shorter which is an exaggeration, more like 1/8" and is not a problem once snapped in. This filter installed on a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek in about 5 minutes with no tools required. I doubt you really need felt strips, I just have too much time and felt on my hands.
