Review on 🚰 Santevia Gravity Water System - Countertop Model: Alkaline and Fluoride Filter with Mineral Infusion, Chlorine and Fluoride Removal by Holly Haman

I really liked this product when I received it for the first time. I wanted it to raise pH and remove fluoride. I ordered some professional test materials to make sure I'm getting results. I had two separate sets of strips, one for pH and one for various metals in the water. Although these tests come in the form of strips, both are designed to test drinking water. There's no reason these strips shouldn't work for water. Both types of strips showed that the pH of the water filtered with Santevia and tap water was the same, around 6.5. The strips, which also test for metals in the water, show that the lead and fluoride levels in the two water samples are exactly the same. I spent extra money on a fluoride filter and it has absolutely no effect on the furides in the water with a score of 20 in both samples. Lead is also the same in both samples. I tested multiple samples from both sources and the results were the same. The only difference between tap water and Santevia water are the nitrates. Everything else - pH, lead, fluoride, hardness, chlorine, copper - is exactly the same before and after filtration. I've used the strips from the same kit to test other things around the house (like vinegar etc) to make sure the strips actually work and work. I contacted customer service to see if there was anything that could be done and they completely avoided the issue with the fluoride still in the water and then basically insisted that the pH was indeed different, me but would have to spend a lot more money on a much more expensive form of the test (which of course I don't get a refund for) to see the results. Then they just stopped. He said I can return it if it's still within 30 days but that's all they will do. He didn't offer any troubleshooting suggestions to try and get the product working. My return period has expired. It took me 30 days to test the product twice to make sure it didn't work. I certainly lost the $35 it cost testing consumables on top of the $200 I spent on this product. spend more money on additional tests (which are non-refundable) and I was not offered any real options to return the product. They take no responsibility and are completely uncooperative which caused me to lose over $200. I tried to give it 0 stars but it doesn't register that way so I had to give it a 1. It really should work. Negative stars because of effort and additional costs. Update: Support has contacted us again. They just emailed me a picture of the water tests and explained that their tests show the product works. They said they just tested the same water and were able to achieve a 95 percent reduction in lead and fluoride. This is absolutely ridiculous. The toilet water on my countertop does not contain fluoride or lead. They don't even know how to solve it. They only insist that it really is, when it definitely isn't. They rely on customers not being able to verify accuracy. Update (again): I'm glad I bought this product through Revain and not directly from santevia. The santevia support staff evaded my questions and were completely unwilling to take any steps to resolve or even resolve the issue. It's been over 30 days since I received the product and found it to be ineffective so I couldn't even return it to them. I would have to bear the loss of the product as well as the additional cost of testing consumables. When I called a Revain representative and explained the situation to them, they were willing to reimburse me for the cost of the product and the cost of the test materials ordered through Revain, and they were willing to take care of the Santevia themselves. If I had ordered this product any other way I would have lost all that money so I am grateful to Revain for being willing to take responsibility and make an effort to resolve the issue when Santevia was completely uncooperative.
