I use these knives several times a day and love them! I see a lot of feedback here from people who are disappointed that this isn't the old handle they were used to 20 years ago. This is because it is not. These aren't twins. If you're a professional chef, these are probably not the knives you take to work. However, if, like me, you cook 2-3 meals a day for your family, this is a great option! They slice tomatoes with no resistance and I can easily get thin slices of onion when needed. Preferences vary from person to person depending on whether they prefer a heavier or lighter knife. They are lighter and I like it that way. They aren't meant for carving meat, but they will allow you to cut a good steak and are great for slicing pork chops. As with any knife, if you leave it dirty on the counter overnight, soak it in water, or throw it in the dishwasher like any other knife in the world, it will tarnish, chip, and start to get dirty. With enough stress, stainless steel can rust. Knife preferences vary from person to person. It's a good idea to do your research and physically hold the knife before you buy it. These knives are perfectly balanced. If you prefer a heavy knife and buy a lighter one, you will be disappointed.
