Bad paring knife has no home

The knives appear to be very sharp and are a versatile starter set, particularly made in China (not Germany). The only really disappointing thing is that the slots in the knife block don't fit all of the knives they were made for. Now I have a lonely paring knife with no home. Shed a tear for a paring knife.

A great set that will last a long time with proper care!

These knives are great! This is my second sentence. We cook so much that I like to use extra knives when cooking. These knives cut great. My last set is 14 years old and like new because I take good care of it! A lot of people complain that they get ruined after they go in the dishwasher, but you should never wash knives in the dishwasher. No matter what brand you get. Dishwashing ruins and metal. This is not a pipe dream!

Stupid out of the box. Disappointing.

I have bought several knives over the years but have never had to sharpen them before use. The first knife I tried was the Santoku knife. It was too boring to cut the tomato. Then I tried it with a paring knife, which was also too blunt for the job. I understand that this is a manufacturer's budget line and they have compromised on steel and handles, but a knife manufacturer should never compromise on a blade. The bottom line is that I didn't buy a set of top knives to spend the next day or two

Disappointment with knife sets

I bought this item 2 weeks ago and my two largest knives are completely dull. I hand washed as recommended. It worked great the first few times and after that I can cut anything with it. The reason I bought them was based on the company name and the reviews but I will NEVER buy this product again. I had to wait 1:34 hours yesterday to speak to someone from JA Henckels International Customer Service so I could return these horrible knives and I had to hang up without speaking to anyone. Terrible

Chinese Stainless Steel

I bought and was enjoying the quality of an 8" cast knife from J. Henckels at an average price in Spain, so I decided to get an inexpensive full set of his "Name Brand" knives to buy. would be a worthy addition to another knife. Man I was wrong I hated stamped Chinese stainless steel no comparison to my other knives. Then I started to use them more, which was my surprise, these knives are definitely not the best, but they feel good, have a good weight and hold the blade much better than I…

Real review! Read please. Super happy

I just want to write a review to set a record after all the negative reviews here. The best $100 knife set you can easily get. Nice block and knife. Good quality and super sharp. Very happy with what I got for the money. People say knives rust, oh my god. Naturally! Plain stainless steel looks great but is only sharp during the day. So they have to add carbon to the metal to keep it sharp and sharp. This causes them to rust. So be smart and only hand wash them and dry them well before putting…

Super spicy and great quality for the price, effortless cooking!

I use these knives several times a day and love them! I see a lot of feedback here from people who are disappointed that this isn't the old handle they were used to 20 years ago. This is because it is not. These aren't twins. If you're a professional chef, these are probably not the knives you take to work. However, if, like me, you cook 2-3 meals a day for your family, this is a great option! They slice tomatoes with no resistance and I can easily get thin slices of onion when needed…
