Cheap thin plastic flexible yet very comfortable. Small Styrofoam medallions hold their shape well, but this one doesn't. I used low expansion foam to fill and trim the back of the casting. It also provides a much larger surface area for the glue to stick to if you need it. It's so light I probably overdid it with glue. The cast is clear and very uniform, with virtually no pattern defects. When installed on a ceiling that isn't perfectly flat, it is flexible enough to flex and show that imperfection. That's the main reason I lathered it up. Spray paint is easy to apply and has a smooth finish when poured. In general I am very satisfied as most lockets of this diameter are very expensive. It was a good budget workaround and wouldn't look out of place in any setting, from a small home to a high-end home or business.
