I always use genuine toner cartridges for my HP printers. Once the printer detects a non-genuine cartridge, the warranty is void as stated in the manual. The cartridge is stable, always prints very clear documents. HP cartridges always print more documents than specified. I want the printer to last, and since it and the MFP have a lot of things that can break, I'll spend a few bucks more and buy a genuine cartridge. Looks like one less thing to worry about. I've seen other people use non-genuine cartridges in their printers, some have no problems but most have horror stories but for some reason live with it because they saved a few bucks. I just can't hand someone a document with streaks or smudges, it looks so unprofessional, or tell someone my printer is stuck, I can't print it for you.
