Works, but not perfectly

So, while I think this is worth the money if you're into small or semi-fine carpentry work, a genuine Kreg tool is almost double the price of the best. My first problem was that even after adjusting the depth according to the instructions, the holes aren't deep enough. I had to use the 1 3/4" screw setting even though I used 1 1/4" screws. It doesn't matter much - you just need to determine the correct depth and not trust the markings on the mount. Second, the included drill bit is terrible. After 5 holes in the birch plywood, a very uneven edge was obtained. In comparison, I drilled several hundred holes with my Kreg jig with no visible difference between the first and last. Third, there is a magnet that holds the parts of the mount together. Unfortunately it's not strong enough and the pieces keep coming loose as you move the jig from one hole position to another. However, if you only work with a few holes, this jig offers significant savings after adjusting the setting. compared to Kreg, but considering the price of a quality drill you can buy a Kreg.
