We have been using Nellie's for several years now and will never go back to the grocery store chemicals and fragrances. I have small jars that I fill from these large containers. I once bought goat milk detergent because I liked the big can that I keep on the shelf above the washing machine. However, really think about it. Would you like to wash your clothes in goat milk? (Nice tin!) We don't use fabric softener with Nellie. It took a while to get used to as the fabrics aren't as soft as with this commercial material, but ultimately Nellie's single wash is so much better for your skin, your health and the environment.
