My chairs run slightly taller than the measurements listed on this product (24.5" back height), but they still fit with no tears or visible paint showing through the fabric. The only thing you will notice is that the cover moves back a bit from the chair at the back of the seat. You don't really notice it when you sit down. These covers come in a great gray colour. They're nice to the touch and really help freshen up some old-fashioned, stained chairs. It was very easy to put them on over a chair. It really makes you want to try sofa covers next time! To ensure it's fully hidden AND your chair is over the recommended measurements, you can see the fabric is stretched enough that some color shows through. But even on my large chair, I can't see any wood color underneath the fabric. When the light hits, from behind where the tree is in the lid, I clearly see the shadow, but I don't see any color.
