Reception desk. Periodically, when wood is known to be wet, the reading will flash briefly and then freeze at 0.0%. It works on my arm and then stops the high reading as Max can't erase it no matter what you do. , never locks/holds Min? Experimented with multiple materials, can flash the instant reading then return to 0.0%. The instructions are not clear on how the Max/Min function actually works and how the readings are cleared from memory. Question sent to Sam-Pro, no answer yet. I think I received a defective gauge. Need a gauge to test new hardwood floors and subfloors prior to installation. I think it won't happen if they don't send it to me the next day! I am changing my rating from 1 to 5 stars! After sending it I was contacted by Sam-Pro on the same day (at least on a Sunday!). After exchanging several emails, it was determined that I had probably received a faulty gauge. They immediately sent me a new meter. No stress! After experimenting with the new meter and getting answers to specific questions from Sam-Pro, I am very happy with the product! What impressed me the most was the AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Quick responses, professionalism, compliance and desire to please the customer. I can't say enough good things about this experience. Sometimes things happen and you have problems, but what really matters is how those problems are handled. made me a fan of Sam-Pro Tools.!
