Review on ATP Solid Valve Spring Compressor C Clamp Service Kit: Simplify Automotive Valve Spring Maintenance by Bruce Marable

I'm a fairly experienced mechanic. I don't expect much from these cheap tools either. However, this product makes Harbor Freight look like Snap-On. I tried to remove the valve spring from the motorcycle head. I squeezed it halfway and wondered why the tool was trying to slide off the top of the pen. In the attached photos you can see that the arm is bent simply by being screwed on. In the second picture you can see that the tool no longer fits in the storage box. This was tightened by hand without any additional leverage. Credit to Revain for accepting my return of this pathetic piece of junk. There are dozens of similar kits at Revain but I believe they are all the same product just sold under different names. I would not try this tool on anything heavier than a lawnmower engine. Avoid!
