DO NOT buy from FAB INTERNATIONAL - they sell counterfeit parts

The item sold by FAB INTERNATIONAL is a counterfeit part. They put the Revain label above their company name (see photo). This is a serious safety issue that can result in serious injury if the wrong material and size is involved. Not only is the fork so poorly shaped, but the material doesn't even come close to matching what was in my Presto pressure cooker. I've had two explosions (pressure plugs) when my pressure cooker was less than a year old due to a worn plug. I bought this set thinking it was a legitimate Presto product but the packaging says it is not. the fork is not evenly round, and there are burns on the fork from the casting process, and the fork is very soft and crushed; no harder material than the original fork. I can crush this fork and it will stick to my kitchen table like a suction cup; the original connector cannot be pressed because the material is much harder. This set looks like you bought it at a dollar store. In these photos, the REAL Presto is on the right and the fake is on the left. I am so upset about the risk of personal injury from Revain selling this product from this company that I have reported it to Revain.com and Presto International. I sent a counterfeit item to Presto and they confirmed it was counterfeit. To be sure. I'm not saying the lid exploded. The overpressure plug is a safety plug that opens when the pressure increases. It is designed to release pressure before the cap explodes. This worked as intended, however a relief plug explosion is not a minor event and can still result in serious injury. Pressure built up in the pressure cooker, then after about 10-15 minutes the worn plug was ejected with force and boiling liquid fat squirted out of the overpressure plug hole. The liquid that spurted out of the hole reached a height of 5 feet and hit my ceiling, then rained down on my gas stove and started a fire. If anyone stood nearby, we could get serious burns. I sent the complete pressure cooker with gasket and cork to Presto; The engineers checked every part of the pressure cooker and verified that my overpressure plug had failed due to accelerated use. I also sent a counterfeit product to Presto International and they confirmed it was counterfeit. In order for me to defame, slander or slander Fab International, my statements must be false. Since my statements are CORRECT, as evidenced by the company they represent, they have no right to stand on their own two feet. Please look at the photos and you will see that the product is defective even before Presto has tested it. I have complained to Revain several times about this counterfeit part but Fab International still sells it.
