Review on 🏠 HomeMaster Sediment & Carbon Filter by Kirk Womack

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the taste of my water.

We have city water with a lot of chlorine. The water smelled bad, had an unpleasant taste and was harmful to the skin. After a little research on the internet and reading the reviews, we decided on this device. We asked our local handyman to install the unit. It was installed in our garage after shutting off the cold water and pressure valve. He installed a check valve on each side of the unit as instructed. The device measures a good three feet by three feet and is quite heavy. So we fixed it to the wall and made sure to put a suitable backing board behind it. The craftsman probably spent about two hours total. It's very important to make sure you direct the pipes so that they flow from left to right. There are arrows on the block. This is a two tier block. The first filter is for sediment and the second filter is for chlorine. We have soft water, but since the water comes from a small river, which is usually muddy, the water, although clear, contains sediment (you could see particles in the water glass if exposed to light) and tons of chlorine. We washed the filters before connecting them to house lines. Than a little water and was surprised that almost immediately the water became clearer and better tasting. I figured it would take a day or two. No, the water smelled better, looked better, tasted better after two hours. It's been about two weeks. This purchase was worth every penny! If you've been thinking about an entire apartment, look no further than Home Master. Now check what's in your water: chlorine or chloramines. Home Master makes different models depending on what you need to filter. If you have a fountain, you should probably consider a three-tier construction.
