Easy to attach to kitchen and bathroom faucets

I give 5 stars because of easy installation. I put it in our fountain house. I've had problems with this fountain house for years. I paid $1400 for a cracked fiberglass tank. I really didn't want to pay that much again for a new filter system. It was an alternative. It was easy to install, didn't lose any pressure. The water still tastes like well water, but it is clear. I would recommend it to friends.

Pros
  • Fits many

  • For old

It's been two years and it still works great

We bought and installed it in June 2018. Filters are rated for 100,000 gallons of water. My wife and I use about 2500 gallons a month (up to 2100 some months) so we're going to think about it for at least another year before replacing it. That's very valuable. Our water is much cleaner and not cloudy since we installed this filter. We did not find any pressure drop. The thing just sits there and does its job. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Fantastic home filter

My wife and I replaced our single stage sediment filter with this fantastic device. We live by a well and have serious problems with sediment and weak taste. The assembly was very easy for any do-it-yourselfer and done in no time at all. We've had this installed for a month now and the difference between the filters is day and night! After installation, the water pressure is strong and constant, and even the taste is completely gone thanks to the charcoal level. For the price I think this is a…

No more smell of chlorine

I chlorinate city water and have been thinking about a filter for a long time. This filter is simple and contains sediment and char, which is probably all you need for city water. The inlet and outlet are plastic with 1" NPT threads, so don't overdo it. I used adapters with a 1" to 3/4" sleeve and sweated copper with a bypass and pressure gauge on the inlet side. I already have another pressure gauge downstairs so I can check the pressure drop. The bracket holding the filters is heavy gauge…

Glad I did: Water filtration and softener

It all started with a kitchen renovation. The old sink had an undersink filter attached to a separate faucet. I decided I didn't want 2 faucets on my new sink and started looking for alternatives. Then I thought of built-in filters in refrigerators, showers, etc. A whole house system seemed sensible. I checked and found that our city water is treated with chlorine so I ordered the DGC model. I found it to be beyond my level of craftsmanship and hired a professional to install it. The device is…

Great filters but mind the maintenance

As everyone says, a well built filtration system that gets the job done. Just remember that replacement filters are expensive. About $150 a year or so. Also, changing the filter requires ten steps. Step 5: A) Pour 2 cups of bleach into the filter housing. B) Drain the water heater C) Open the main water supply D) Open the faucet at the point farthest from the system until you smell chlorine. Flush the toilet. Do this at every point in your home. E) Shut off the water supply. F) Open housing…

I like the taste of my water.

We have city water with a lot of chlorine. The water smelled bad, had an unpleasant taste and was harmful to the skin. After a little research on the internet and reading the reviews, we decided on this device. We asked our local handyman to install the unit. It was installed in our garage after shutting off the cold water and pressure valve. He installed a check valve on each side of the unit as instructed. The device measures a good three feet by three feet and is quite heavy. So we fixed it…

Very good whole house water filtration for the price!

Benefits: - 1" inlet/outlet connections do not limit water pressure - High quality water thanks to dual stage sediment and carbon composite filters - Filter change only required once a year, up to 100,000 gallons (money savings) - Easy installation - Sturdy metal wall mount - The overall construction is very solid. The company has stated that standard 1" cone (NPT) fittings will fit these female fittings, but I think they allow for loose plastic threads. I'm having trouble sealing my 1" to 3/4"

  • Absolute Legend
