The spores worked and dug into the tree bark. There are no instructions on how to tie them. Each spur comes with 2 straps. I just used my head and did my best to buckle her up. After using it for a test run, my leg hurt and the pressure on my calf was severe. This is my first time using spurs - I'm not a climber. I bought this because I had to cut down a tree and needed something to keep it from falling over. I give 5 out of 10 points. They were uncomfortable. I couldn't use them all day. Maybe 1 hour or 2.
