The longer the better, I love ironing this thing
I bought this to replace my 10" stainless steel bar. At 12 inches it allows for a fuller hit and not only do I have to do it safely by pressing the tip against the deck, but I can pretend I'm a professional chef and cross it with a knife in my other hand . in grand style. Also, carbon steel has a noticeable difference from my old stainless steel, which was decidedly softer. I guess I could just do my duty with the old one, but for $8 I couldn't resist. Don't resist the bad father joke in the title.
