Just like the ones I used in my restaurant work.

Exactly the same as I used in my restaurant days, works great and doesn't stick to the blade like some others who said they have a better design, will buy again for a backup and gifts for my cooking friends.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Panties make dents best in a knife sharpener

my old Wüsthof is worn out and has been replaced. Thought I'd try the Revains selection. Mistake. It was about half the price of Wüsthof, but the workmanship was poor. As you pull the knife toward you, you'll feel it hit the steel. Not smooth like Wustfoh. When you want absolute quality. Don `t save.

Pros
  • A dream comes true
Cons
  • Short instructions

Excellent knife sharpening steel

I think it's important to understand that this steel should be used to sharpen a knife blade, not necessarily to sharpen it (if you want to sharpen a knife you need that something like stone or mill). Honing restores a knife's blade rather than removing steel like sharpening. However, it is a steel of good weight and dimensions for knife care.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Wow! Where it has been all my life

Wow! i love this shop I have a whetstone I don't have time for and one of the sharpeners you use to hone your blade. I saw an interview on the news with a knife company who recommended a sharpener for home use and even showed how to use it. I ordered, received and sharpened my 3 knives that I use the most. Easy even for that old lady! What a joy to use a sharp knife.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

As if by magic - cutlery & knife accessories

Straightens knife blades and makes them sharp again! I sharpen my own knives, but after a while they become "blunt". . not because they are not sharp, but because they deform easily with use. This honing tool straightens them by making a few "slices" on each side. As if by magic, my knives cut effortlessly through tomatoes again! good length to give room for knife cutting back and forth. very durable and seems to last forever

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Expensive

The longer the better, I love ironing this thing

I bought this to replace my 10" stainless steel bar. At 12 inches it allows for a fuller hit and not only do I have to do it safely by pressing the tip against the deck, but I can pretend I'm a professional chef and cross it with a knife in my other hand . in grand style. Also, carbon steel has a noticeable difference from my old stainless steel, which was decidedly softer. I guess I could just do my duty with the old one, but for $8 I couldn't resist. Don't resist the bad father joke in the…

Exactly what I wanted in the cutlery and knife accessories section

I haven't had one in my kitchen before but I'm a skilled grinder as I'm interested in woodworking and am a "turner" in particular . So I have a wood lathe. I've sharpened everything from old chop saws, chainsaw chains, knives, scissors and chisels. I don't know why but I was missing one of these in my kitchen and this particular product is strong, well made and works great. This leaves a rougher final edge than I expected but I can handle it and also means you can get a good edge on a really…

There's nothing PROFESSIONAL about it

Firstly the name was a bit misleading. This is by no means a PROFESSIONAL sharpener. As you can see from my photos the rod has rusted badly in less than 2 months of use. I've been using it daily since I received it, but I also brush every oil almost every day. This is a classic "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" case. Here's my honest take on the matter - rust aside, it's not too bad for home use. when new it was actually very good for the money. I would recommend it to those who use it several times a

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • No paint needed
