I read both positive (the device works) and negative reviews (it does not work) before trying this device. about the functionality of this machine. How will this blade peel off because there is such a large gap between the apple and the blade? I specifically picked a medium sized apple to try as one neutral review says their peeling machine only works for smaller apples. As I hesitantly turned the knob, the apple kept turning just as I was about to give up and stop the knob, bingo! The blade touched the apple and it took me less than 2 seconds (no exaggeration) to peel the whole apple! The gap I saw earlier turned out to be for big apples! As it spins, the blade approaches the apple and begins to work! Hope this helps other buyers.
