**UPDATE** Ties didn't work. This hanger will NOT stay in place. She hardly ever gets off when she's buckled (unless she's trying to walk in circles to lie down), but as soon as she gets out of the car, her legs get tangled or she just falls off completely. This is very annoying and unsafe. I often had to bend her legs and neck in odd ways to untangle her while driving. Very disappointed, especially considering the price. ***** I had to zip up to keep it from unraveling. He literally fell off my dog when he was buckled in the car and when he was walking on and off a leash. After adding zip ties it worked great. Sturdy but very bulky. Doesn't fit great. I have a fat Springer Brittany. Unfortunately I don't think it's a reliable suspension. Luckily my dog doesn't run, but if your dog does, this is not a harness to rely on. This harness is also not for you if your dog likes to run in circles to lie down buckled. Your dog will immediately slide out. I like other belts from this brand because of the lighter weight. I was happy with them even though they have similar slipping issues.
