This item is amazing! The crappy factory system lasted 100,000 miles, but it costs almost $400 to replace. Instead, I tried the Steeda intake system. I didn't notice much difference from the stock system other than it looked better. The Steeda cover is annoying every time you try to change a lightbulb on that side of the car. My focus hit 175k and the mileage dropped to 29-30. I gave it a good tune and there was no increase in power or mileage. I then decided to change the coils because it really helped my 224k jeep. I got the coils from Amazon, a set of 4 for $40. They were terrible. My mileage dropped to 27-28, my car was hard to start, everything around me was bad. I'll be swapping coils soon. On a whim, I decided to try replacing the intake system with this K&N one again. He took out the rest of the regular system, what crap, and put this one down. Instant result! The car started straight away. Felt strong again, mileage jumped back to 30-31. The system sounds good and was easy to install as it comes with a great guide with lots of illustrations (I confess I love guide pictures). And the best part is that I will no longer cut my hands changing lightbulbs! If you need to replace your storage system, rip out this piece of junk and get this, you'll love it!
