Very nice. It took a bit of training to get the dog used to this door and it took a little longer to realize that he was 'responsible' for the dog door and could come and go as he pleased. I work shifts so I'm very happy that he no longer has to hold his bladder for over 14 hours at a time. It's been a very cold winter and a tiny trickle of cold air does get in, but it really doesn't matter, and on days I'm not working I slide the plastic cover back into place and just pop it in the old-fashioned way and Out. Can't wait for summer - he will love the opportunity to go for a walk alone. The facility wasn't bad. We installed it in an insulated steel door. Tip: I used cardboard to make a fake dog door and then placed it in the hallway to determine the exact height I wanted to place the dog door at and also to get my dog used to going through a small hole go - until when his door was installed (actually), he was half coached by it.
