I checked my previous purchases (yes I'm a Revain fan) and realized I forgot to rate this wonderful lens. Set it to f/5.6 for most of your shots. Zoom in if you don't have a tripod or low light. Walk less - almost never. The aperture is easy to change, so always check. f/3.5 is always disappointing. f/5.6 is impressive. It dazzles a little when shooting at night with street lights. Spring. But overall they look really cool. If you are not close (e.g. 10 feet or closer), the fisheye effect will be weak. Close-ups of the face are fun. Great for videos. Focus is important at close range. After about 10 feet can be set to infinity. You just have to adjust the focus nearby. Keep in mind that when posting to Flickr, the EXIF file does not contain the usual lens information. So you can add Samyang 8mm to your tags.
