Review on Genie GM3T-R Intellicode 9/12 Dipswitch Garage Door Opener Remote (2 Pack) - Compatible With Openers Since 1993 by Johnathan Delic

My Genie G-8000 garage opener was installed in 1993 and has been working without a single problem for 27 years (what a product!). Suddenly one of remotes stopped working (battery checked). I open it up and found that the metal spring contact plate had broken. I called Genie in search for replacement remote. The rep suggested GenieMaster GMT3, the universal remote that'd work with old Code Switches technology (no Intellycode in 1993), he also gave me detailed direction on programming.Best Buy happened to have the best price. After receiving, it took me 2 minutes to program the unit (make sure to push the button C for 12 switches coding). It works great from 30 feet distance, same as the old one.What a great American company Genie is: from great products that last to friendly, knowledgeable and accessible customer service!
