I recommend this harness over other cat harnesses if you can make some modifications. My cat is comfortable in it and it seems safe and sturdy. He escaped once, but after I tightened the chest strap a bit, he couldn't escape anymore. Just make sure the straps are very tight but not too tight! The position of the D-ring is perfect as it eliminates any neck strain and I can gently insert it to encourage my cat to walk without hurting her. As many reviews say, the neck circumference is too big. I bought my cat a medium size because her chest was 1 inch larger than the small size (he weighs 11.4 pounds, neck = 8.5 inches, chest = 15 inches). I fixed this by adding an extra strap to the key ring (0.5 inch ring). This was helpful because it also allowed me to put his name tag and bell on! I have an updated neck buckle design that is a big improvement over the previous design. However, I don't understand how this harness is designed for cats but doesn't fit around their neck. I know I don't have a cat with abnormal proportions. Overall, this is still the best cat harness I've ever used, but RC Pets can definitely improve on the product.
