When I got this it was little jigsaw pieces that just fitted together. No tools required for assembly. It can be assembled in less than a minute. The locking mechanism works well. You have the option to create your own three-digit code. I have 000 by default. The size is perfect for blocking out sensitive prescription meds for the elderly and preventing your teens from messing around with prescription meds and preventing them from accidentally or intentionally overdosing on meds. It can also be used to keep your cell phones safe. and other objects from prying eyes. However, it is not big enough to put laptops like in the picture. It doesn't even fit in a standard sized water bottle standing upright. The price is also a bit higher than expected. Generally works well for small items like medicine and anything else you don't want someone to have instant access to including but not limited to chocolate :) Four stars!
