Review on NGK BPR5ES SOLID Standard Spark by Stephen Cernatescu

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For Japanese engines use Japanese spark plugs

For the last 52 years I have had a Honda motorcycle, several Honda cars and now I have two Honda lawn mowers. One thing I learned a very long time ago is that American or German spark plugs don't seem to work as well as Japanese ones, and in particular I only use NGK. In the 70's I had a 5 speed Honda Civic which I took to a nearby garage to be tuned. The mechanic installed Bosck spark plugs in my Honda, which also wouldn't start. I returned to NGK and everything was fine. In general, stick with what the manufacturer puts in your car. It's possible they know what they're doing. In my humble opinion, NGK is the best company.
