Review on Sabatier Edgekeeper Pro Knife Block Set: Self-Sharpening 12-Piece Forged Triple Rivet, Black by Amy Kearse

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good. in kitchen and dining room

Difficult to rate Good You are sharp. I recommend running your steak knives over the steel if you have it. Then use the sharpener on the block. They look good and if you sharpen cutting knives they will be sharp. Poorly. The block really wants to tip on you when you pull out the knife - come on Sabatier. Blades are thin. I have a "real" set of Sabtier knives and the difference in weight and size between this set and the "real" ones is obvious. Rust drives me insane. ALL STEEL/STAINLESS STEEL KNIVES RUST. EVERYONE WILL! Put some bar cleaner on a dish sponge and wipe off the rust, dry the knife and put it back in the block. THIS IS NOT SABATIE'S FAULT. Conclusion: who are you and what do you do with knives? Will you chop bones, chop semi-frozen meat, etc.? Do not buy these knives, these knives will not stand up to industrial/professional use. If you are a home cook and looking for a set of sharp knives at a good price then this is fine.
