This product is well thought out and well made. I want to install it on my Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom. I believe many people will have the same problem as me when I install this product. Since this element is an aluminum ingot, it must be thick for strength. In fact, the bike axle is about 3/4 inch thick. Since my castellated nut on my axle is flush with the end of the axle before I install this plate holder, I would have had to find and buy a new axle 3/4" longer than stock for this plate holder to work. Unfortunately it is not easy to find a compatible axle in the length you need unfortunately I had to return this item and took a much less attractive item.
