I bought this power supply as an experiment. I use it for amateur radio work and it does the job perfectly. It had no problem hitting the rated power, gets hot but doesn't get hot and is easy to handle. The only complaint I have is that it makes noise in the 80m/3.5MHz band. The noise has a comb shape rather than a broad band, leaving most of the band open. Avoiding this hurts, but it can be done. All other bands I tested including 40m/7MHz, 20m/14MHz, 10m/28MHz and 6m/50MHz are quiet. Even with the cost of building it into a case, adding connectors, circuit protection, and meters, the entire project is still about half the price of comparable ham-specific power supplies.
