Works well, compact and light, but is the thermostat broken?

In fact, there aren't many functions, and the setting interface is inconvenient. You have to press the green finger button several times to switch between heating power (high/low), thermostat temperature and timer. It takes a while to warm up - a few minutes. Until then, he only blows cold air on warm air. Adjusting the heater output does not change the fan speed, which is constant, it just slightly reduces the output of the heating coils. My biggest problem is the thermostat. This is VERY inaccurate! First, when I set it to 70, the thermostat starts to toggle at about 67 Hi/Lo. If I increase it to 74 it switches to 71. So regardless of the setting it seems to stop outputting at full power about 3 degrees less than the thermostat setting. The manual says something about "heat dissipation" so maybe it does - it just circulates air. But a more serious problem is that the thermostat's temperature reading increases by a degree every minute or two from the moment you turn it on. THERE IS NO HELP MY GARAGE HEATS UP SO FAST! I checked it with a room thermometer to confirm. I even checked the temperature behind the block where the air intake is. Of course, in my case, the room temperature was 64°C, but the thermostat on this unit read 68°C! So I increased the thermostat setting to 74 and it went back to Hi but then the block thermostat started going up again and after a few minutes it reached 70! The room temperature was still 64. So something is wrong with this thermostat. With a remote I can just raise the thermostat until it's warm enough, but that's really fine for a 20x20 insulated garage. like mine in moderately cool weather, but I just don't see how it will survive the depths of winter. It's certainly good enough for small spaces, and portability is good if you have L6-20 220V 20A outlets wherever you plan to use it.

Pros
  • Thermal shutdown
Cons
  • It's hard to remember, but it was
