Review on ⌚ Skagen Ancher Men's Stainless Steel Mesh Quartz Watch by Crystal Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Second sighting of Skagen although it should have been my first.

I love this watch. I've had this watch for over a year now and wear it almost every day. There was a month or two when I wore the Fitbit instead, but that was the only time outside of sleep that I didn't wear it on my wrist. First, it's flat. Slips easily between the cuffs of dresses or sweaters with elasticated ends. I can't imagine having anything on my wrists that would lift and stick to my clothes. The watch strap has retained its color and, like my previous watch strap, has been sanded in certain places. It still has a sharp silver sheen inside and out. Also, no scratches! I'm not particularly careful with my watch, I don't feel like I have to adjust my lifestyle or activities for fear of damaging it. I live life and break it then I'll deal with it But given that attitude I still have no harm in this watch. It might be subjective, but my favorite part about this watch is the lack of numbers on the dial. Each hour is similarly represented by a straight line. People ask how I can tell the time without numbers, and I'm a little concerned that people don't remember what the dial looks like. The second favorite part is the calendar date (using numeric values this time!). It's a lot easier to check my watch when writing checks, signing documents, etc. than pulling out my phone. The only criticism is that the crown does not hold and is very difficult to adjust. I'm always afraid of breaking crowns by pulling them out too far or bending them when trying to compress and twist them.
