Let's start by saying I'm not a big sweater. I usually use a grad deodorant but wanted to switch to something more natural. The smell doesn't bother me, it's strong but gentle on others. It's not strong enough to make you vomit, and it doesn't smell like "mothballs" from what I read, it smells like lavender fields. It took me a while to get used to this deodorant. The way it slides down my armpit is like melting the wand itself, almost transparent compared to your traditional white clay wand. But it turns easily. I experience some burning or irritation. I think it may be due to a change but I don't notice it as often as I do now as my 8 year old daughter uses it and she hasn't reported any problems. We have had different experiences and maybe it's because it's the first deodorant she's ever used. My baby pits smelled dead in the street, I almost passed out. I decided to look for a more natural and reed. With her body odor and lavender, I can take the smell of her pits very well. I just sniffed them for this review and had to sniff them a few times to get a light scent that I could never be without.
