The visual quality is excellent compared to similarly priced binoculars and many more expensive binoculars. The brightness and sharpness from the center to 1/4 from the edge is fantastic. It's blurry from 1/4 to the edge, but the center is so good you hardly notice it. But there are mechanical issues that bother me. 1) The diopter adjustment ring is a design that can be unlocked and rotated, gluing a plastic ring to the metal ring. The plastic just ripped and fell off twice. Even if you pull it, it will just break in half and fall off. The binoculars are fully functional even without them, so I will refrain from returning them for warranty repairs. It just breaks and falls off again. 2) Retractable eye relief extenders rotate very easily, too easily. If you turn around and hold the binoculars to your eyes, you can bring them back to the short position simply by slapping your face. Well I still like these binoculars optically, they are better than most of the others on the shelf. But they are not perfect.
